508 Fuel by Loyalty- Grim Reefer Cut
Loyalty comes back with his rendition on Grim Reefers 508 fuel

508 Fuel by Loyalty
One of the East Coast’s finest cultivators, Loyalty, returns with his take on Grim Reefer Genetics’ 508 Fuel. The story behind this cultivar runs deep—this is a 20+ year cut of Sour Diesel, passed to Grim by another breeder to help preserve the legacy. Grim gave it a new identity with the 508 name to rep the region while still honoring that classic Sour lineage.
Loyalty ran this in organic soil grown, letting it finish at over 70 + days—and it shows. The structure is dialed-in, the appeal is real. You get that trademark Sour look: peach-colored pistils, forest and basil green leaves, and a clean trim job that highlights the nug’s natural beauty.
On the nose, you’re hit with that classic Afghan-style dankness—pinene, skunk, and chem notes all coming together. Once you break it down, the scent opens up even more. Flavor-wise, it brings the heat: sour limonene, earthy soil, gas, and a touch of herbal spice on the backend. The taste matches the nose in all the right ways.
The effects are the real standout here. A euphoric head high meets a calm, relaxing body feel—great for both a wake-and-bake session or a smooth wind-down in the evening. The smoke itself is clean from start to finish—inhale to exhale, it hits just right.
Overall, 508 Fuel holds its weight in every category. The nose isn’t the loudest off the jar, but really opens up in the grinder. Grown with care, and it shows. Would love to see this one pop up more often.
Big salute to Loyalty for always keeping it consistent and putting out quality—he was one of the first I covered when I started showcasing the best of the East Coast scene. Shoutout to the controversial smoker himself, Burlando El Sistema, for the assist. And respect to Grim Reefer for preserving and reimagining such an important piece of cannabis history.
