Alaskan ThunderFuck
It’s been about two years since I touched anything legal, so I wanted to check out the progress. I recently visited Happy Munkey, a new dispensary in Dyckman. I love the spot—the design and artwork are on point. I decided to try some new legal flower from Dank by Definition. The budtender recommended Alaskan ThunderFuck (ATF).
I’ve had this cultivar before. It’s a cross of Russian Ruderalis and Afghani, making it a sativa-dominant hybrid, though it could also be considered a balanced hybrid. The nose had notes of herbs, sage, and pine—consistent, but not really my preference. The taste aligned with the aroma, but it felt like the flavor disappeared quickly.
The real highlight was the effects. A 1.5g joint kept me high for hours, delivering a medium-level cerebral buzz. However, the appearance left much to be desired. The buds had a dense structure but looked old when broken down. The smoke experience started smooth on both inhale and exhale, but it got harsh toward the end of the session.
Honestly, I was disappointed paying more than street value for a 3.5g jar, only to get subpar flower. Big shoutout to Happy Munkey for opening the first dispo in Dyckman—it’s a great space. But they might want to holla at Dank for better quality flower next time (no bueno). Just sharing my experience with the legal product—this isn’t a diss on the dispensary.
