Bandz vs. Elvis All Kings
All Kings, based in Brooklyn, is a seasoned cultivator with 30 years of experience, now focusing primarily on living soil methods. His nutrient formulations are crafted from organic inputs, creating a distinct and natural approach to cultivation. Over the past year, I’ve seen the brand gaining recognition, hosting a pop-up at Astor Club, artist that design the 2024 NY Growers Cup poster, and standing out with their unique selection of cultivars.
In this versus-style review, I compare two of All Kings NY’s standout cultivars: the classic Elvis and the flavorful Bandz.
Elvis
Elvis is a cross of AK-47 x Skunk #1, two legendary genetics known for shaping modern cannabis breeding. This cultivar carries deep-rooted lineage, blending earthy, spicy, and fuel-like flavors with a gassy, pine-forward, and skunky aroma. The Afghani influence is apparent, providing a well-rounded experience.
Effects: The high is relaxing, cerebral, and full-bodied, lasting about three hours. It kicks in around the sixth or seventh pull, offering a balanced yet uplifting sensation. Elvis leans more sativa-dominant, delivering an energetic boost while still allowing for deep relaxation.
Smoke Experience: The inhale and exhale are bold and pungent, reminiscent of classic cultivars from the past. The old-school aesthetic of the flower adds to its nostalgic charm. All Kings NY has maintained this cut since the early 90s, making it a must-try for enthusiasts of classic AK-47 and Skunk genetics.
Bandz
All Kings NY’s Bandz is a hybrid of Z x Headband, bringing together the best of both worlds. The visual appeal carries traits from both parents, though the Headband influence dominates.
Aroma & Flavor: The nose hits strong with OG fuel, pine, and subtle fruity Z notes upon breaking apart the bud. This cultivar delivers that distinct sour-skunk diesel with a citrusy, sweet backend, making it a standout among modern gas-heavy selections.
Effects: Bandz provides a powerful cerebral buzz, coupled with a euphoric yet grounded sensation. While it has a lighter body high, the intensity is undeniable. It packs a pungent inhale that can be a true chest-expander.
Smoke Experience: The flavor profile mirrors the aroma, balancing earthy, sweet, and citrusy notes with a classic OG sour funk. The effects last about two hours, activating fully around the sixth or seventh pull for a well-paced onset. The inhale and exhale are smooth yet deeply flavorful, making for a satisfying session.

Final Thoughts:
Both cultivars hold their own, excelling in unique ways while delivering a premium smoking experience. The nose and flavor profiles stay true to their genetics, and the effects hit all the right marks. All Kings NY is quickly becoming a standout cultivator, and I am looking forward to his upcoming drop this Saturday afternoon at Office Hours.
