Surreal Selections — Permanent Marker
Surreal Selections out of Pennsylvania has been making waves lately. I first noticed him competing at the PSL and heard nothing but good feedback from fellow connoisseurs in the community. Surreal cultivates using Indoor Veganic living soil, dialing in one of my favorite cultivars, Permanent Marker, bred by Seed Junky and curated by Doja. This gem is a cross of Biscotti x Sherb Bx x Jealousy, and Surreal definitely did his thing with this run. The presentation itself was unique. The jar came inside a wooden box sealed with candle wax, giving it that exclusive feel right from the start.
The appeal expresses the classic Permanent Marker structure. biscotti-leaning nugs with a healthy coat of trichomes. The nose delivers that musky sweet Sherb Bx profile mixed with the gassy sweetness from the Jealousy. The palate translates beautifully from the aroma. You get that signature gassy sweet sherb flavor with biscotti undertones that intensifies as the sesh goes on. The smoke experience was smooth and soothing from the first spark to the final pull. The effects leaned heavy, strong couch lock with the munchies kicking in. The high lasted around three hours, making it a solid smoke for winding down.
Overall, this is one of the best tasting Permanent Marker cuts I’ve had, and definitely one of the best versions I’ve smoked coming from the East Coast in recent years. Big shoutout to Surreal Selections for this exclusive rendition and for dialing in indoor veganic living soil with this Permanent Marker. Looking forward to trying the other flavors from the box.
