Sour D (Albany Cut) – Pot Snobs
Back again on the mission to find that perfect Sour D. This time, Pot Snobs out of NY came correct with their take on the Albany cut — and let me tell you, it’s a beautiful thing. From the looks, the nose, to the palate, it’s a full experience and a true pleasure to smoke.
The appeal is on point, showcasing the classic traits you expect from a real Sour. Money green, cucumber-colored leaves and calyx, apricot pistils, and a blanket of frosty trichomes with a few amber touches throughout. Straight eye candy.
The nose is everything — heavy fuel, skunk, chem, and herbal gas all up front. I grabbed this about a month ago and let it cure in a miron jar just to lock in the smell and push the effects even further.
The high is one of the biggest standouts — pure euphoric, stuck, heavy cerebral pressure. That classic “I’m lit” feeling from the first few pulls. The palate brings it all together — sour, earthy, skunky with a diesel kick on the aftertaste. Real linty, lingering flavors that stick around way after the sesh. Straight nostalgic — took me right back to the old Sour days.
Effects hit strong and lasted a good 3 hours. Perfect for a daytime or nighttime smoke depending on the vibe. The smoke experience was another win — clean pulls all the way through. Burned about 1.2-1.5g each time and the inhale/exhale stayed smooth, flavorful, and consistent.
Overall, Pot Snobs really delivered with this Albany Sour. Nose and palate match up, smoke is clean, effects hit hard, and the nugs are beautiful. Big shoutout to Pot Snobs for blessing the scene with this one, and shoutout to Talk of the Town for putting me on. This is one of those Sour batches I could smoke every single day. Pot snobs most definitely one of my top 3 on Sour grow.
