Pure Press Co- Sour Cookies Vs Candied Oranges
North Carolina’s very own Pure Press Co’s THCA 🍯

Pure Press Co – Sour Cookies vs Candied Oranges reviews
Pure Press Co is a newer brand out of North Carolina, founded in 2024 with a focus on premium THCa products rosin, flower, and edibles. The team behind it brings over 20 years of combined experience in cannabis sales, formulation, and product development. Their goal is clear: clean, strain-specific, solventless rosin that highlights the true essence of each cultivar no additives, no fluff.
For this review, I tapped into two flavors: Sour Cookies and Candied Mimosa. Both were washed at 90u first pull, which already says a lot about the quality they’re aiming for. I’ve had my fair share of traditional concentrates—rosin, resin, BHO but this THCa rosin hits a little different.
Right off the bat, I noticed the color—it runs darker than your usual THC rosin. But don’t let that throw you off. The nose was still solid, especially on the Sour Cookies.
Sour Cookies
GSC x Sour Diesel

This one brings that classic East Coast x West Coast energy Sour Diesel’s punch with Girl Scout Cookies’ sweetness. The aroma smacks you with fuel, gas, and dankness, and that same profile shows up on the palate. I got sour, cookie dough, sweet Durban spice, and that funky backend we love from Sour D.
Effects-wise, this one slapped. Heavy cerebral, euphoric, with a light body high. Real heady, fast onset, and definitely more intense than the Mimosa. You taste it on the way in and feel it on the way out—pungent inhale and exhale that stuck with me. This was my favorite of the two.
Candied Mimosa
Z x Mimosa

Candied Mimosa is more of a flavor-forward sesh. You get a light citrus nose, like dried orange peel with that Zkittlez sweetness underneath. The taste? Fruity, sour mimosa vibes with a fuel-y aftertaste that hangs around.
Visually, the rosin was clean but a bit darker than expected, and I spotted a few bubbles—nothing crazy, but noticeable. Texture held up and the flavor carried through from start to finish. Effects were milder than Sour Cookies, more of a chill head buzz than a knockout punch. This is the type you grab when you want flavor over force.
Final Thoughts
Pure Press Co’s THCa rosin is a refreshing drop from the South. They nailed the terps on Candied Mimosa and delivered real potency with Sour Cookies. If anything, I’d suggest either lowering press temps for a lighter color and fewer bubbles, or starting with slightly fresher material. But overall, this was a dope introduction to what NC has cooking.
Big shoutout to Pure Press Co for letting me run through these flavors. Can’t wait to see what their flower and full line look like in the future.
