Sour Diesel from St8 Gas
Over the past two years, I’ve had my fair share of Sour Diesel, and I always love sharing my experiences when I come across a good one. Str8 Gas has been making waves with a menu full of exclusive, curated strains, and I recently got the chance to try the Sour Diesel they offer.
This particular batch is a rendition of AJ’s cut, grown on the West Coast. The nose is loud, hitting you with a strong diesel, gas, and skunk aroma that instantly brought back memories of the classic Sour D. The flavor profile leans towards diesel, chem, and earthy notes, with a slight skunk edge, though the nose and palate didn’t fully match up.
As for the effects, they were on point: a nice cerebral buzz with a medium-level body high that lasted well over 2 hours. The appeal is undeniable, with the characteristic Sour D structure—romaine and collard green calyxes, peach-colored pistils, and trichomes that shimmer. The smoke was smooth, offering a soothing inhale and exhale.
Overall, this Sour Diesel delivers on nose, effects, appeal, and smoke experience. If the palate had matched the intensity of the nose, it would have been truly exceptional. Big shoutout to St8 Gas and my homie Package Bud for the opportunity to review this solid rendition of Sour D.
