Tej – The Healing of the Nation
Lineage: Plum OG x Ethiopian Heirloom (Axum)
@thehealingofthenations comes back with one of his core staples and one of my personal favorites from the lineup, Tej. Known for working authentic Ethiopian landrace crosses and indigenous genetics, this one really represents the mission. Tej is a Plum OG bx (a Runtz-leaning pheno) crossed with Axum, the Ethiopian Heirloom.
Appeal – 5/5
One of the main standouts. Beautiful structure and texture on the nugs, with trichomes shining like diamonds .
Nose – 5/5
Candy fruit forward with limonene and myrcene sweetness, backed by a deep, dank aroma. Super inviting off the break up.
Palate – 4/5
The sweetness of the plum comes through first, but quickly gets overtaken by the landrace side ,earthy, spicy caryophyllene flavors dominate mid to end.
Effects – 4/5
Another highlight. Relaxing yet cerebral, clean headspace, solid 2-hour type high. Perfect for zoning out without being couch-locked.
Smoke Experience – 3/5
Starts off smooth and soothing, then gets more dank and pungent mid-sesh. I think this is the one area that could still be dialed in a bit more.
Overall – 4.2/5
Tej checks a lot of boxes, looks, nose, and effects all on point. A gassy, sweet, landrace-leaning smoke that I genuinely enjoy.Big shoutout to Danny from The Healing of the Nations for the opportunity to once again review this exclusive and truly unique cultivar. Always appreciate the love and the work being done with these genetics 🌍🍂.
